Baylor’s website offers unique tools to help students estimate their potential merit scholarship and financial aid eligibility. By going to the Scholarship Calculator and inputting your information (class rank and SAT/ACT scores), you will receive an estimate of your academic scholarship eligibility as well as what SAT/ACT scores you would need to achieve the next level of scholarship eligibility. Academic scholarships are automatically awarded to students who qualify and you do not need to apply for them.
Baylor also offers a need based scholarship for admitted first year or transfer international students that meet the scholarship eligibility. Once a student is admitted, they will have the opportunity to complete and submit the scholarship application which will be located in the goBAYLOR account. To be considered for the scholarship, students will need to submit the completed application as well as the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.

Student standouts—that's what we look for! Merit-based scholarship recipients generally distinguish themselves scholastically and personally even within our highly competitive group of admitted students. All admitted freshman applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, so that no separate application forms or interviews are necessary. The Office of Admission notifies scholarship winners at the time of admission to the university. Past recipients have included but are not limited to: political and community service leaders, math/science competition winners, creative and performance artists, entrepreneurs, scholar-athletes, and exceptional writers.

Texas State offers Assured Scholarships to international students which are awarded on the basis of one’s academic profile. Awards range from $1,500 to $9,500 USD annually and are guaranteed to all qualified non-residents provided you are admitted to Texas State as a first-time incoming freshman and meet the minimum scholarship qualifications prior to your first semester (fall or spring).
Nonresident students who are awarded an institutional scholarship also qualify to pay the in-state Texas tuition rate not the higher international rate. If you receive at least $1,000 in Texas State Competitive or Assured Scholarships, you will receive a nonresident tuition waiver, granting you in-state resident tuition rates for the period covered by your scholarship. This constitutes a savings of approximately $10,000 to $12,000 above the actual scholarship amount depending on the number of courses and hours attempted.
